West Brom and West Ham are fighting it out to sign Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez, according to Alfredo Pedulla, but the Baggies fans are praying a deal doesn’t happen for the former Aston Villa man.
The 32-year-old currently plays for Fiorentina, where he has made 52 appearances, scoring two goals and providing just one assist for the Serie A side.
During his time at Villa he was widely mocked for his wayward passing and was regularly caught in possession. He also managed to rack up nine yellow cards and only one goal and one assist during his time at Villa Park.
West Brom boss Darren Moore is clearly attempting to add to his midfield this summer after being forced to start left-midfielder Chris Brunt alongside Jake Livermore in the middle of the park during the Baggies opening day loss at home to Bolton.
Fans of the West Midlands club on Twitter were clearly hoping that the midfield addition wouldn’t be Sanchez though. Check out some of the best opinions below.
