According to reports, West Ham are involved in “a game of cat and mouse” with the representatives of 19 year-old Rice.
The report claims Rice wants £30,000 per week to sign a new deal with the club, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
However, the current offer is only £18,000 per week plus bonuses, and fans are getting impatient over the youngster’s future.
The 19 year-old broke into the first team last season, and excluding a nightmare performance at Arsenal he was one of the few silver linings of the Hammers’ fight to stave off relegation.

Rice has played mostly as a defensive midfielder since Manuel Pellegrini arrived, but he can also play in defence, and his versatility and leadership for such a young player is remarkable.
71 per cent of fans think it will be a huge mistake if they miss out on the youngster’s future for the sake of a few quid, and you can find the full poll results down below…
