We’re just twelve games into the new Premier League season, but Manchester United are already lagging behind in the title race – albeit, not through any huge fault of their own. While some will inevitably question points dropped to the likes of Huddersfield and Stoke, Manchester City really have been that good, winning eleven of their top flight outings so far.
And in terms of differences between the two sides, Harry Redknapp believes United are significantly shorter in terms of creative and attacking ability, dubbing them a more ‘functional’ team. Few would argue with that summary considering the quality of football City have consistently delivered this season, but Redknapp has also suggested two United players who have that ability to perhaps bring them a little closer to what’s being produced on the other side of Manchester and boost the remainder of their campaign.
