Well, all good things must come to an end.
Nottingham Forest’s unbeaten run in the league finished against Wigan Athletic, with Jamal Lowe scoring the winner.
Obviously a streak like this was never going to last the entire season, but the fact that it came to a side who came into the game near the bottom of the league certainly doesn’t make for great reading.
And it looks as if there was one area that Forest fans were most concerned about coming out of the game. In their eyes, Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi made far too many changes to the side that had seen them do so well so far this season.
Whilst some of the changes were forced upon him thanks to an injury list that has taken out some of his first-choice players, there seemed to a lot of questions being raised about the fact top scorer Lewis Grabban found himself amongst the substitutes, but that wasn’t their only gripe.
Taking to Twitter after their defeat, they were seriously annoyed.
You suppose this game really serves as a wakeup call. Lamouchi has spoken before about how tough this league is, and now he’s just been given a first-hand experience of how you can’t take these things for granted.
